      A gifted storyteller doesn't need props or pictures. Davina Porter is a narrator who can enchant listeners by her words alone and acquaint them with wonderfully memorable characters. Among those she portrays in this audiobook is a charming panda named Pudding who resides in the Edinburgh Zoo and is obsessed with being a nanny like Mary Poppins. Pudding realizes her dream and ends up changing the lives of a dysfunctional family. Porter makes the family unforgettable as they come together to keep Pudding from being sent to China. The mother sounds weary, the baby sister whiny, and the bullying neighbor menacing--but Pudding is kind and gentle. All of them make for good family listening.
